Opportunity to work with new soldiers entering the Ordnance Corps. Become an instructor at the US Army Ordnance School working for an engaged and responsive small business.
- Provide academic instruction on refrigeration equipment to include digital refrigerated containers, air conditioning equipment, automotive air-conditioning (A / C) systems, forced air heaters, fire suppression systems to include how to recharge / recover fire extinguishers, and selected high pressure gas systems
- Review and update academic and doctrinal publications; and maintain vehicles / equipment supported by academic instruction
- Provide academic instruction to conduct classroom / laboratory conferences, discussions, demonstrations, and practical exercises in accordance with course material, POI, technical manuals, and student workbooks
- Conduct student critiques
- Review and provide pen and ink changes to lesson plans, cross-train, arrange and engage in instructional preparation and testing material, serve as an Assistant Instructor in classes
- Provide feedback at the end of the block of instruction
- Assist in updating technical content of lesson material
- Participate as a subject matter expert (SME) in developing revisions of the POIs, Lesson Plans and Training Support Packages
- Provide remediation training, maintain classrooms by re- configuring / setting up classroom furnishings, sort and maintain training aides and equipment, stock training materials and equipment, and / or assist with outdoor training site maintenance
Responsibilities : we will expect candidates to provide instructor services for Advanced Individual Training (AIT) training IAW programs of instruction. Successful completion of active-duty military service, or service (current or past) in a Reserve component, is a must. Training may be in classroom or in bay training, hands-on performance oriented training, and simulation / virtual training, which requires teaching a government-approved curriculum for 91-series MOSs. Instructor experience is required.
