About the Role:
As a key member of our diesel mechanic team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our fleet of vehicles. Your responsibilities will include:
- Preventative Maintenance & Repairs: Perform regular maintenance checks and repairs on a variety of diesel-powered vehicles, including buses and trucks.
- Diagnostics & Troubleshooting: Diagnose and repair engine, transmission, electrical, and other mechanical systems.
- Vehicle Inspections: Conduct thorough vehicle inspections to identify and address potential safety hazards.
- Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.
- Safety Compliance: Adhere to all safety regulations, including OSHA, FMCSA, and DOT standards.
- Teamwork: Collaborate effectively with other members of the maintenance team.
- Maintain a Clean Work Environment: Contribute to a safe and organized workspace.

Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of experience as a Diesel Mechanic
- Must be able to work a 9pm-6am daily schedule
- Must be able to work Friday nights and Saturday and/or Sunday night
- Proven experience with diagnostic tools and equipment
- Strong mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Valid Driver's License (preferred)
- ASE certifications, Class B CDL, and EPA 608 certifications (preferred)
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) (preferred)
