What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Sales Manager position at Toray Membrane USA, Inc.?
Worldwide manufacturer of high-quality water treatment products in North County San Diego seeks to hire a Regional Sales Manager (Southeast Territory). The individual in this role will report directly to the Sales Director.
Essential duties include the following :
- Interface with customers of company including end users, consulting engineers, OEM’s, government officials, and all others to promote the sale of Toray products and services.
- Monthly report and sales contact reports as required to accomplish and communicate company objectives.
- Interface with Toray technical and manufacturing staff in addition to TMUS management.
- Trouble shooting and service calls for company’s RO / NF / MF / UF / MBR product sales in advance of technical service staff being involved.
- Select and manage subcontractors and / or consultants used by company from time to time, under direction of management.
- Prepares annual budgets for expenses and sales forecast for assigned territory.
- Conduct seminars and technical / commercial presentations as necessary or assigned by the company.
- Travel on behalf of company using company funds in a responsible manner following all company policies.
- As company grows and needs additional staff you will interview, hire, train and manage new employees in the region.
- Coordinate with technical and manufacturing staff and other departments in the company.
- Prepare and conduct training seminars and materials for company’s clients.
- Provide market feedback on important matters with respect to company’s technical and competitive position.
- Interface and report as required with other Toray business and regional operations such as Europe and Asia Pacific and Membrane Division HQ in Japan.
- Conduct yourself as a good corporate citizen and encourage others to do the same following the guidelines and policies of the company and the employee handbook.
Other Essential Functions :
Knowledge, Skills and Experience Required :
Minimum Education (or substitute experience) : B.S. Degree in an engineering discipline or equivalent.
Minimum Work Experience : Five (5) years of sales experience selling in the membrane field.
Skills Required :
Preferred Education, Experience and / or Skills : B.S. Degree in Chemical Engineering
Equipment Used : Standard office equipment such as computer or laptop / tablet, printer, copy machine or scanner, fax machine and cell / smart phone.
Essential Physical Tasks.
Prolonged sitting, walking.
