The Simulation Environments team develops and integrates simulation tools to serve the enterprise. We develop robust, resilient and scalable cloud simulation solutions based on managed cloud services, to meet the needs of our internal customers. As part of the Simulation team, we design, implement, maintain and monitor cloud services that realize various use cases in the area of virtual driver stack simulation.

$160,800—$193,000 USD

Meet The Team:
The Simulation Environments team develops and integrates simulation tools to serve the enterprise. We develop robust, resilient and scalable cloud simulation solutions based on managed cloud services, to meet the needs of our internal customers. As part of the Simulation team, we design, implement, maintain and monitor cloud services that realize various use cases in the area of virtual driver stack simulation.
What You’ll Do:
- Team management, including resource allocation, workload prioritization, backlog maintenance, cross-functional team collaboration, talent selection, team onboarding, career development, and performance management.
- Facilitate backlog adjustments to address product changes and to ensure the system operates in accordance with specifications.
- Collaborate across engineering organizations to identify and prioritize feature improvements, based on end-user feedback.
- Guide the team through feature decomposition and the work estimation process.
- Oversee team’s progress toward completion, communicating regularly to all levels within the team, department, and organization.
- Enforce software development best practices for the team, improving quality, efficiency, and accuracy of the team’s work.
- Collaborate with teams specializing in perception, planning, control, mapping and vehicle testing to develop solutions that support their development efforts in AWS
- AWS (Directconnect, Site-to-Site VPN, WAF, FMS, Lambda, Event Bridge, MACIE, SecurityHub)

- Responsible for managing a team with existing system and/or defined strategy. Leads a team of engineers that are tasked with building or solving difficult technical problems. Responsible for the quality of work, accuracy, record keeping, standards, and ensuring a basic level of compliance.
- Responsive to others and able to effectively collaborate to meet established standards, compliance requirements, implementation, and service delivery schedules.
- Demonstrated functional knowledge of business area and demonstrates results of ongoing learning and professional development. Ability to effectively manage people and identify opportunities to develop staff experience and expertise.
- Experience leading engineering teams in the delivery of large-scale web applications that support a distributed, cross-functional development organization.
- Strong facilitation, technical team coaching, systems thinking, and servant leadership skills.
- A strong commitment to test-driven development patterns, continuous integration and delivery, and infrastructure as code
- Strong knowledge of AWS or other public cloud services
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills working with a team orientation and collaborative style
