45% - Facilities Management


  • Develop, plan, implement, inspect, and close projects involving maintenance, repair and renovation of existing facilities as well as the construction of new facilities.
  • Ensures compliance to building codes and good construction practices, architecture/engineering disciplines, state and federal laws and regulations.
  • Monitors grounds, interior spaces, furnishings, fixtures, equipment, and tools for preventative maintenance, repair, replacement, and energy efficiency.
  • Schedule maintenance, repair, and renovation projects based on quality, urgency, and budgetary allowance, researching, and estimating projects and costs with a high degree of accuracy.
  • Evaluates bids, materials, punch lists, warranties, change order costs and additional time requests from vendors and/or contractors with a critical eye to ensure quality and the project comes in on time and within budget.
  • Maintain up-to-date project schedules, status reports and alert management of project issues in a timely manner.
  • Maintains, monitors, and prioritizes the work order system, preventive maintenance records, equipment records and supply records.
  • Develops presentations and reports for senior management to assess needs, costs, and plan for projects.
  • Coordinate accessibility and ADA accommodations with People Operations.
  • Manages custodial services for the buildings and grounds to ensure sanitation and general clean and tidy atmosphere.


15% - Physical Security, Access Control, and Assets Management


  • Provides oversight to the security, mechanical and electronic access key and lock administration of facilities and equipment.
  • Evaluate, install, monitor, and maintain video surveillance and alarm systems.
  • Assures overall building and contents and overall functioning and maintenance of building systems are secure and safe.
  • Ensures a physical inventory of equipment and supplies is performed on a periodic basis.
  • Maintains and property stores and secures blueprints, specifications, inventories, warranties, and records of renovations/construction materials and values.
  • Responsible for site specific physical and electronic security systems including security IDs, cameras, door hardware and other systems. Works with IT and the Department Director to ensure robust security policies, procedures, and systems.


40% - Health, Safety, and Sanitation


  • Responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety requirements at the site, particularly those related to federal, state, and local occupational laws and regulations.
  • Manage the development, implementation, and maintenance of manuals, safety documents, Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), and procedures in collaboration with the directors of safety, legal and compliance, and other stakeholders.
  • Conducts inspections to ensure safe and healthy working conditions. Strive for a working environment free from health and safety hazards.
  • Coordinates fire and rescue response opportunities with local resources and implements recommendations for safe work environments and satisfactory response in the event of an emergency.
  • Prepare and communicate safety plans including risk assessments, SOPs, maps, signage, evacuation plans, sheltering, lockdowns, harsh weather conditions, workplace violence, terrorism, natural hazards, property conservation, etc.
  • Ensures compliance to OSHA regulations and maintains SDS sheets in appropriate locations. Identifies, coordinates, and implements the best health, safety, and emergency preparedness practices.
  • Investigates incidents and accidents, reviews information for continuous improvement and updating SOPs, etc., and reports all job-related health or safety issues promptly in coordination with Corporate People Operations and the Director.


Qualifications


  • 8 years of experience and knowledge in areas such as corporate health and safety protocols, facility maintenance and planning, industrial hygiene, asset and records management, security and emergency response, incident, or project management.
  • Knowledge of general building codes, maintenance trade standards and practices, equipment, tools, and materials used to repair and maintain buildings, interior spaces and furnishings.
  • Demonstrated ability to negotiate terms, interpret blueprints, technical specifications, perform inspections, and utilize project management systems.
  • Strong time management and organizational skills to plan, develop, coordinate resources, prioritize effectively, and maintain competing demands simultaneously with frequent interruptions and in a fast-paced environment.
  • Position requires transportation to locations outside the main complex. A driver’s license with a safe driving record required. Occasional overnight travel outside of the local area may be necessary.
  • Use of forklift and other powered industrial equipment required (including compliance with Torc safety procedures related to drug and alcohol usage and safe use of equipment).
  • Preferred qualifications:
    • Comprehensive knowledge and experience of OSHA and VOSH regulations and compliance standards. Familiarity with 29 CFR 1910 and 1926
    • Certified Facilities Manager Certification, Facilities Management Professional Certification, and/or Facilities Management Certificate
    • Experience with ISO 14001 and/or ISO18001/45001
Physical Demands


  • Occasional exposure to outdoor weather conditions. Ability to work occasionally inclement weather/temperature extremes.
  • Ability to be flexible and may work extended hours/weekends/evenings when project demands.
  • May occasionally lift and carry up to 40 pounds
  • Ability to safely use common shop power tools to make repairs.
  • Ability to work and collaborate across locations over different time zones.

Hiring Range for Job Opening

US Pay Range

$87,700—$105,200 USD
