Meet the Team:
The Data Acquisition team within Product Engineering and Release is responsible for the safe
and efficient collection of data to meet organizational needs and requirements critical for
development of Level IV autonomous software. The Data Acquisition team works with
development groups and other relevant stakeholders across the organization to create and run
collection campaigns tailored to specific needs and requirements.
What you’ll do:
As a Quality and Test Engineer will be responsible for various activities and a focus on software
management and process. Various activities will encompass assisting with relevant tasks
needed for safe and efficient data collection and for exploring or implementing new methods
for increased efficiency. They will also evaluate full system performance, understanding the
contributions of relevant sub-systems, providing feedback to development teams. Derive
product requirements from external stakeholders, regulatory bodies, liability review and
societal expectations.
Evaluate, generate, and execute test plans to uncover the limitations of our systems, collecting
relevant data to drive improvements. Perform root cause analysis of identified
defects/performance issues and provide recommended solutions. Design and deploy
supplementary instrumentation and infrastructure required to capture data as defined by the
test plans.

Work with data customers to create and establish testing campaigns
- Assist with troubleshooting and tracking of component and system integration issues
- Develop and execute test plans, performing closed course and on-road evaluation of
- Create test plans considering customer needs, appropriate route planning, and risk
- Responsible for triage test issues, using triage results to understand & document the
- Work cross-functionally to coordinate resources needed for troubleshooting or collection
- Leverage results from automated software testing pipeline to increase the efficiency of
- Identify, implement and execute new processes to fill gaps in planning, communication,
- Track and report system performance metrics and KPIs on a regular basis
- Perform on-road testing in autonomous vehicles as detailed observer/annotator.
