We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced leader for our Data Science and Model Tuning group. This group’s mission is to take foundational learned VI components and make them performant on targeted hardware while also providing simulations to prove performance, data analysis to train and prove performance, and hardware acceleration to deploy on targeted hardware. Through heavy data analysis this group provides robust simulations to prove performance, train and tune Vehicle Intent models.

What you'll be doing:
- Responsible for managing a department or complex function. Interacts with other department leaders to accomplish objectives
- Responsible for the timely completion, quality, and accuracy of work, ensuring compliance and specific standards are consistently met
- collaborate across functions and departments to meet established standards, compliance requirements, or to engage appropriately with other stakeholders
- Manage people and identify opportunities to develop staff experience and expertise
- Scope of Influence: Decisions impact customer experience, technology quality, and system costs (related to multiple teams).
- Facilitate processes for the delivery of scalable and high-quality systems products for autonomous driving vehicles and support systems. Specifically in the Data Sciences and Model Tuning space
- Collaborates with other management and teams as needed to meet goals, monitor team performance, and achieve objectives
- Responsible for understanding the software or system technical domain of their assigned team.
- Accountable and responsible for career development and coaching of the team; accountable and responsible for performance management of their team
- Provides continuous performance feedback to team members and compensation analysis in close collaboration with peer managers and people
- Bachelor degree in Engineering; Masters degree in Engineering preferred
- Leadership experience managing multiple teams - Heavy CUDA programming and GPU parallelization; Working with ML frameworks; TensorRT; C development
- 15 plus years managing software engineering teams with several years working with teams’ familiarity with autonomous vehicle software stacks and simulation environments
- Strong leadership skills
