Meet The Team:
The Developer Environments team supports the software delivery process by providing tools that enable efficient development and testing. We deliver the local environment and project template(s) that help to establish and maintain design patterns and best practices.
What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for software development, including but not limited to, software design, implementation, and testing.
- Lead investigation into root cause analysis of issues found in testing or user acceptance validation
- Responsible for ensuring software and/or tooling updates do not regress the performance of build times
- Communicate well in a team environment able to clearly articulate progress, design expectations and support needed to help the team accomplish goals.
- Provide feedback to team members through the code review process and ensure that all contributions meet the team's standards
- Expertise with the team’s coding languages, software development environment and quality analysis
- Participate in team’s on-call rotation and on-call escalation to promptly respond to incidents and participate in troubleshooting efforts.
- Give mentorship to entry-level engineers by contributing technical comments, performance feedback, and input to goals.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related technical field plus demonstrates competences and technical proficiencies typically acquired through 6 years of experience OR Master’s Degree in Computer Science, Robotics, Electrical Engineering or related technical field plus demonstrates competences and technical proficiencies typically acquired through 3 years of experience
- Expertise in open-source container platforms such as Docker, Vagrant, Containerd, Kaniko
- Familiarity with container orchestration services (i.e. Kubernetes, ECS..etc)
- Experience with infrastructure scripting / templating solutions such as Terraform, BASH, GO,
- Accomplished experience working in object-oriented languages (Python preferred)
- High skill in at least one of the following build and test tools such as Buildstream, Bazel, Make, Maven, Gradle
- Mastery in a code coverage analysis tool such as Testwell CTC , SonarQube
- Advanced skill with CI/CD tools such as Github Actions, GitLab, Jenkins, ArgoCD
- High proficiency with Workflow tools such as AWS Step Functions, Temporal, Argo Workflows
- Mastery of logging and monitoring tools such as Datadog, Cloudwatch, New Relic.
