Join our trailblazing Autonomy Systems and Release (ASR) team, where safety meets innovation. As a Software Safety Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in ensuring our autonomy applications are designed and implemented with the highest safety standards, enabling trust, reliability, and compliance in cutting-edge autonomous systems.
What You'll Do
- Safety Risk Assessment : Conduct thorough risk assessments for autonomy software, identifying potential hazards and ensuring risks are mitigated effectively.
- Safe Machine Learning Practices : Develop and implement strategies to ensure the safety and reliability of machine learning components in autonomous applications.
- Standards Compliance : Lead efforts to comply with safety standards such as ISO 26262 (Functional Safety) Part 6, ISO 21448 (Safety of the Intended Functionality), and other relevant frameworks, including ISO PAS 8800 Road Vehicles Safety and Artificial Intelligence.
- Safety Architecture Design : Collaborate with the systems engineering team to integrate safety requirements into logical and deployment architectures, ensuring seamless alignment with overall product goals.
- Safety Case Development : Create and maintain safety case artifacts to demonstrate compliance with regulatory and functional safety requirements.
- Collaboration : Work with product, perception, and vehicle intent teams, as well as safety and compliance organizations, to ensure safety is a fundamental part of every stage of development.
