What are the responsibilities and job description for the Entry to Junior level Analyst position at Torch Technologies, Inc.?
Torch Technologies is seeking a skilled Analyst to join our advanced air and missile defense simulation team. Candidates must be familiar with the Java programming language and should also be familiar with C/C programming languages. Experience with Python and/or MATLAB tool development is required. Experience with radar system simulations is desired. Experience with software Verification and Validation (V&V) is also desired. Qualified applicants will have good data analysis skills and be able to work independently, and as part of a software development and analysis team to support software V&V of missile defense system component simulations. Specifically, the successful candidate will support analysis and V&V of an advanced missile defense radar simulation developed primarily in Java. Tasks will include code reviews and algorithm assessments of simulation components, as well as software tool development and analysis to support data anchoring activities based on tactical and Hardware-in-the-Loop (HWIL) data comparisons. Candidate will also support generation of V&V data analysis products and documentation to support overall simulation accreditation activities.
Job Requirements:
- B.S. degree in Engineering, Computer Science or other STEM degree from an ABET accredited college or university
- 0-2 years of simulation analysis experience
- Excellent written and verbal communications skills
- Ability to understand Java code, with some experience with C/C and MATLAB and/or Python
- Experience with software verification and validation process is desired
- Familiarity with radar system simulation desired
- Familiarity with FORTRAN language is a plus
- Position requires the candidate meet requirements to obtain a final security clearance in order to access classified information. Inability to obtain a security clearance will result in candidate being ineligible for the position
