Job Description

Torch Technologies is seeking a Data Scientist to support USSPACECOM; the position requires an individual possessing a wide range of skills and demonstrated experience; collecting, interpreting, and analyzing data using various analytical methods and statistical techniques. The individual will work with combatant command staff and stakeholders to conduct strategic analysis, strategic and operational assessments, to develop combatant command strategies, policies, procedures, and frameworks. The Individual will :

• Determine what question, if answered would present the most value to USSPACECOM.
• Develop the most valuable data product for data analytics.
• Develop high-quality models, techniques and tools to solving USSPACECOM most vexing problems.
• Research and develop statistical learning models for data analysis.
• Collaborate with combatant command stakeholders to understand combatant command needs and devise possible solutions.
• Keep up-to-date with latest technology trends.
• Communicate results and ideas to senior leader key decision makers.
• Implement new statistical or other mathematical methodologies as needed for specific models or analysis.
• Optimize joint development efforts through appropriate database use and project design.

Salary range : $95,000-$125,000
