What are the responsibilities and job description for the Deputy Program Manager position at Torchlight?
The Deputy Program Manager will support the Program Manager in overseeing daily operations for Special Operations Forces (SOF) technical prototype and production programs. The Deputy Program Manager will manage all subtask areas, including task planning, metrics, resource and budget management, cost control, and reporting. They will develop and maintain clear program / project plans and schedules using standard project management tools. Our ideal candidate is located in the Tampa area.
Responsibilities :
- Ensure all tasks / projects are delivered following the Client approved priorities, schedule, and budget.
- Provide monthly Project Management Reviews for all approved tasks / projects, including deviations and remediation strategies.
- Coordinate support from internal staff members to execute milestone objectives. This requires accurately defining customer needs and converting them into actionable tasks.
- Support the Program Manager with critical client quarterly milestone reviews.
- Develop and implement an Agile program management process to execute contract requirements.
- Assist in the development and adherence to the Project Protection Implementation Plan
- Directly contribute to program success through cost management, schedule tracking, contract performance, risk management, requirements analysis, and quality assurance
- Ensure efficient and effective contract execution.
- Limited travel requirements.
