Reports To: General Manager, Bella Vista Hotel & Entwined Events
Job Summary:
Tori Blue Restaurant is seeking an experienced and dynamic Front of House (FOH) Manager to lead our service team, ensure exceptional guest experiences, and maintain smooth day-to-day operations. This role requires expertise in managing staff, scheduling for Entwined Events and Bella Vista Hotel banquets, overseeing bartenders and MBAR operations, and ensuring compliance with Virginia ABC guidelines and inventory management.
Key Responsibilities:
Staff & Service Management
Oversee all FOH operations, ensuring top-tier guest experiences.
Recruit, train, and manage bartenders, servers, and hosts.
Create and manage staffing schedules, including coordination with Entwined Events and Bella Vista Hotel Banquets.
Monitor service standards and provide coaching for continuous improvement.
Lead pre-shift meetings to align staff on service expectations, menu updates, and special events.
Bar & Beverage Oversight
Supervise bartenders and MBAR operations, ensuring efficiency and quality control.
Maintain compliance with Virginia ABC laws, including proper alcohol service and ID verification.
Conduct regular inventory checks, placing orders and managing supplier relationships.
Develop and implement bar training programs to enhance staff knowledge of cocktails, wine, and beer selections.
Guest Relations & Reservations
Ensure a seamless guest experience from reservation to dining.
Oversee OpenTable reservations, managing table assignments for optimal service flow.
Address guest concerns and resolve service issues promptly and professionally. Technology & Operational Efficiency
Utilize LightSpeed K Edition for POS transactions, reporting, and sales tracking.
Analyze sales data to optimize menu offerings and service efficiency.
Collaborate with the kitchen team to ensure smooth communication and service execution.
Qualifications:
Proven experience in restaurant front-of-house management (3 years preferred).
Strong leadership and team-building skills.
Proficiency in LightSpeed K Edition and OpenTable is preferred.
Knowledge of Virginia ABC regulations and bar inventory management.
Excellent organizational and communication skills.
Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
