Torn & Glasser located in Pomona, California is looking to hire qualified 2nd shift Machine Operators. Qualified candidates must be able to work flexible schedule from 2pm-11pm Monday thru Friday with some overtime.
OVERVIEW: The Production Machine Operator is responsible for operating Production machines and ensuring they are set up properly, working well, and producing quality product.
MAJOR ACTIVITIES PERFORMED:
· Set up machines (calibration, cleaning etc.) to start a production cycle.
· Control and adjust machine settings.
· Feed raw material or parts to semi-automated machines.
· Inspect parts with precision and measuring tools.
· Test operation of machines periodically.
· Fix issues that might occur during the shift.
· Check output to spot and machine related mistakes or flaws.
· Keep all the necessary records of approved and defective units or final products.
· Maintain all the necessary activity log(s) and required documentation per assigned frequency.
· Adheres to safety guidelines to ensure that all final products meet high-quality standards. GMP’s.
· Recommends process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and safety.
· Ensures that the machine he/she is operating remains in good working order, is operating at full capacity and is kept stocked with any materials it may need to perform its task.
· Assists production lead, room coordinator or supervisor as needed.
· Participate fully in meetings/huddles, trainings and team building events.
· Adhere to the concept of team, aligning to and supporting the company’s goals and sharing knowledge.
· Compliance to GMP, Food Safety, Food Defense and Food Quality regulations as required by the company, customers and/or government legislations, including timely communication to appropriate facility management of any non-conformity issues or violations found.

· Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
· Minimum: High school diploma or general education degree (GED); Willingness to work holidays and weekends as we are a 24/7 business operating through most weekends and holidays. Ability to read, write and speak English.
· Preferred: Minimum qualifications plus, Bilingual Spanish, 2 years’ experience in Food/Beverage; Strong Knowledge of food sanitation.

· Knowledge Required: Knowledge of methods needed to read, comprehend, interpret, communicate and execute instructions or directives fluently in English.
