What are the responsibilities and job description for the Bilingual Director Of Training position at Tornado Bus Company?
Instructs and train all employees including coach operators, van drivers and diesel technicians. Director of training oversees trainers in his/her department. The Director of Training is responsible of developing new training and ongoing training, must demonstrate and teach safety driving skills by performing the following duties.
Responsibilities
- Responsible of keeping all training material current and implementing or proposing new training material.
- Maintain roster for all employee training
- Responsible for the training of all employees
- Demonstrates and explains handling of company vehicles in emergencies, driving techniques, mechanical operation of motor coach and loading/unloading passengers.
- Trains drivers on FMCSA and all other local, state, and federal laws that pertain to the industry. For example Pre/Post trip on unit, HOS, defensive driving, out of service, ADA, PPE, etc.
- Responsible to train drivers on small over the road repairs such as changing belts, replacing wipers, regen, etc.
- Train and prepare drivers for the TX DMV tests including road test
- Supervises driver's performance of routine driving and safety performance. Will be required to travel when needed.
- Observes individual's driving habits and reactions under various driving conditions to ensure conformance with vehicle operations standards and state vehicle code.
- Ensure coaching is completed for identified events in the Driver Camera system.
- Safely operates all tools and equipment required to perform the assigned duties
- Comply with FMCSA passenger transportation regulations as well as any other local, state or federal laws.
- Works with other departments to create training material.
- Assist in identifying and correcting equipment issues found during pre, post, or other routine inspections.
- Performs road tests
- Provides reports and actions to business leaders during monthly meetings.
- Other duties as assigned by Manager
Qualifications
- 5 Years of job related Experience
- Good Communication Skills
- Valid Commercial Driver's License w/Passenger Endorsement
- OSHA Certification
- Diesel Tech Certification
