Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and energetic Barback to join our dynamic team in a fast-paced craft cocktail bar lounge . As a Barback, you will play a crucial role in supporting our bartenders and ensuring that our bar operates smoothly. You must be able to clean, set up , wash glasses and set up bar for bartenders , take orders, serve simple alcoholic beverages , greet customers. This position is ideal for individuals who are passionate about the craft cocktail beverage industry and are eager to learn and grow within the hospitality sector.
Responsibilities
- Assist bartenders in preparing and serving drinks efficiently during busy shifts.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the bar area, including washing glassware and cleaning surfaces.
- Stock and replenish supplies such as liquor, mixers, garnishes, and ice as needed.
- Help with the setup and breakdown of bar service.
- Monitor inventory levels and communicate needs to management to ensure adequate stock.
- Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests and assisting them as needed.
- Adhere to food safety standards and proper food handling procedures at all times.
- Collaborate with team members to create a positive drinking experience for guests.
Experience
- Previous experience in a bar or restaurant setting is preferred but not required; we welcome candidates eager to learn.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus, as it will help streamline service efficiency.
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations is essential for maintaining a safe work environment.
- Strong time management skills to handle multiple tasks effectively during peak hours.
- Experience in fine cocktail bars advantageous but not mandatory.
- A passion for hospitality and providing exceptional service to guests is essential for success in this role.
