Job Summary
The Assistant Store Manager will oversee daily operations, ensure excellent customer service, and maintain operational efficiency. This role includes crafting beverages, managing ingredients and inventory, supervising staff, and driving the financial success of the store while maintaining food safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Beverage Crafting & Quality Control: Consistently prepare beverages to the highest standards.
- Inventory Management: Prepare ingredients and manage inventory to ensure smooth operations.
- Team Leadership: Provide constructive feedback, coach staff, and address performance issues.
- Customer Service: Utilize the POS system to process transactions and provide outstanding service.
- Store Operations: Oversee cleanliness, organization, and adherence to store policies.
- Collaboration: Partner with upper management to provide feedback and implement improvements.
- Compliance: Ensure adherence to food safety and labor regulations, including break policies.
- Financial Accountability: Monitor and maintain the financial health of the store.
- Opening & Closing: Execute all opening and closing procedures.
- Lifting Requirement: Ability to lift up to 55 pounds as needed.
Qualifications:
- Passion for tea and specialty beverages with a desire to grow in the industry.
- Previous leadership experience in retail or food service.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Ability to maintain a positive and professional demeanor under pressure.
- Effective communication skills for managing a diverse team.
- Capacity to provide and act on feedback efficiently.
- Ability to stand for extended periods.
Schedule:
- Weekly range: Monday–Friday, Weekends
- Shift hours: Mornings, Afternoons, Evenings, and Holidays
- Typical duration: 6–10 hours per shift
- 32-44 hours per week
