About the Role

As an Estimator, you’ll be instrumental in the pre-construction phase, developing accurate and competitive bids that drive the company’s success. You’ll collaborate with internal teams, clients, and subcontractors to ensure project requirements are met and business objectives are achieved.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates and bid proposals for commercial interior projects, focusing on university facilities.
• Review project documents, blueprints, and specifications to determine the project scope.
• Solicit and evaluate quotes from subcontractors and suppliers to ensure comprehensive coverage and competitive pricing.
• Identify value engineering opportunities to optimize costs while maintaining quality.
• Collaborate with the project management team to ensure seamless handoff and alignment between estimating and execution phases.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, architects, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
• Present bids and proposals confidently to clients and company leadership.

Qualifications

• At least 5 years of experience as an Estimator in commercial interiors, preferably in the NYC market.
• Proven experience estimating projects in the education or university sector (preferred).
• Strong understanding of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
• Proficiency in estimating software such as Bluebeam, Procore, or similar tools.
• Excellent attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
• Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (preferred).
