Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Estimator to join our team, responsible for providing expert estimates for ground-up public and commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in estimating, takeoffs, and bid preparation, with excellent analytical and negotiation skills.
Main Responsibilities:
- Assist the Chief Estimator in developing and implementing estimating strategies.
- Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, pricing, and full trade estimating for ground-up public projects.
- Review drawings from inception and collaborate with internal teams to ensure accurate cost assessments.
- Develop and maintain relationships with subcontractors, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to compile competitive bids.
Requirements:
- 6-7 years of estimating experience in ground-up public and commercial construction.
- Strong knowledge of building codes, zoning regulations, and industry standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with ability to negotiate with stakeholders.
- Proficiency in estimating software, cost analysis tools, and MS Office applications.
