What are the responsibilities and job description for the Healthline Representative position at Torrance Memorial Medical Center?
Under general supervision, the Healthline Representative provides clerical and logistical support to health education classes and programs and supports community education events as assigned.

- Develops thorough knowledge of hospital, Health Links, and community resources to assist Health Links patrons for appropriate information and referral.
- Strong communication skills in handling phone calls, interacting with staff, and collaborating with colleagues, along with excellent customer service abilities when engaging with both staff and the general public, are essential.
- Represents Torrance Memorial Medical Center and its physicians in a professional and positive manner during interactions with community member
- Addresses any issues by following up with the appropriate method, whether it be through a form, phone call, or memo.
- Exhibits outstanding customer service abilities.
- Coordinates participant scheduling for classes and symposiums through phone, email, or in-person communication.
- Receives and signs for incoming supplies and verifies that the merchandise received matches the packing list and purchase order and notes discrepancies.
- Performs follow-up phone calls, faxes, and emails to various vendors to ensure accurate stock levels and pricing.
- Updates and maintains the community resource list as needed.
- Schedules participants for classes and symposiums through phone, mail, or in-person communication.
- Answers telephone calls courteously, clearly identifies themselves and the department, assesses the caller's needs, and directs or communicates the information to the appropriate person.
Compensation Range
$23.00 - $30.84 / Hour
