What are the responsibilities and job description for the Regional Director - IPA Sales and Marketing position at Torrance Memorial Medical Center?
Responsible for oversight and management of regional marketing and business development strategies and initiatives for the Cedars-Sinai Health System IPA entities (Torrance Memorial, Cedars-Sinai and Huntington Health).
Partners with regional IPA leadership team to ensure marketing programs support organizational goals and strategic growth initiatives. Establishes and maintains close working relationships with contracted health plan sales organizations and broker community to drive regional Commercial and Medicare Advantage enrollment and retention.
Builds brand awareness of regional IPA within target markets. Organizes and delivers effective community and industry events to achieve consumer enrollment and retention results. Coordinates with individual hospital marketing teams to align with the brand goals and messaging. Leverages internal communication departments to increase awareness among staff and physicians.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
Strategic Planning:
Under the direction and guidance of the SVP Regional IPA, responsible for the development and implementation of the annual Regional Medicare Advantage Marketing and Sales Plan, targeting broker, health plan, and consumer market segments. Meet or exceed annual Medicare Advantage member enrollment targets to support Cedars-Sinai system's sales goals and growth objectives
Annual Open Enrollment Campaign Management:
Leads the planning, execution, and analysis of the Annual Open
Enrollment (AEP) advertising campaign to maximize membership growth.
Develops a comprehensive advertising strategy across multiple channels, including digital, print, and social media.
Set up CRM platform and leverages local brokers to manage leads generated from campaign
Marketing Leadership and Collaboration:
Provides guidance to IPA leadership on regional marketing strategies to boost awareness of CSHS's marketing and business development efforts among key stakeholders in the Regional IPA space.
Interfaces with CSHS and local marketing teams to ensure IPA marketing efforts are aligned and compliant with organizational brand standards.
Market Analysis and Recommendations:
Analyzes market developments and opportunities, both regionally and locally, within the IPA and Medicare Advantage space.Resource and Budget Oversight
Monitors marketing and sales channels, allocates IPA Marketing resources and manages the IPA Marketing budget to maximize Regional IPA membership growth.
Data-Driven Decision-Making:
Tracks and analyzes key performance indicators, creating executive summaries and membership reports for Senior IPA Leadership.
Oversees performance metrics related to advertising (e.g., impressions, clicks, calls, and visits) and sales (e.g., calls, leads, enrollments, and related costs).
Digital and Social Media Management:
Monitors IPA website performance, including traffic and general inquiries, to
optimize user experience.
Analyzes IPA organic social media content to enhance engagement and reach.
Community Outreach/Broker Relations:
Partners with Regional IPA Leadership to manage and staff community and insurance plan events.
Leverages business development channels to expand key agency/broker relationships.
Regulatory Compliance:
Ensures all marketing initiatives comply with Medicare marketing guidance and adhere to CMS and state regulatory guidelines.
Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required:
· Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution required
- Minimum two to five years' experience in healthcare marketing/sales
- Minimum two to five years' experience in managed care
- Minimum two years management or supervisory experience
- Valid CA Driver's License
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Knowledgeable of health plan and regulatory requirements
- Skilled in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, Salesforce applications
Salary Range: $140,000 (min) - $244,000 (max)
