CLASSROOM TEACHER ADMINISTRATIVE RELATIONSHIP Directly responsible to school principal or designee. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide planned instruction in each subject assigned to teach.
- Follow course of study specified in state law and school district regulations.
- Provide learning experiences to encourage maximum growth for each student.
- Select and use appropriate materials available in the district for students and subjects assigned.
- Evaluate pupils’ academic and social growth, keep appropriate records and communicate with parents and staff on the individual pupil’s progress.
- Identify pupil needs and consult with other professional staff records, in assessing and helping pupils solve health, behavioral, and learning problems.
- Maintain basic student records as required.
- Attend and participate in faculty meetings.
- Maintain professional competence through participation in inservice education activities provided by the district and/or self-selected professional growth activities.
- Maintain professional relationships with students, with colleagues, and between school and home. RESPONSIBILITIES FOR MANAGEMENT OF LEARNING ENVIRONMENT AND CONTROL
- Establish a standard of classroom control that allows effective learning to take place.
- Promote a classroom environment that is conducive to the growth of student responsibility and self-control.

- Share equally, insofar as possible, in the supervision of pupils in out-of-classroom activities during the working day.
- Share equally, insofar as possible, in faculty responsibilities during the working day.
- Share in the supervision and/or sponsorship of student activities in terms of teacher interests and school needs.
- Participate in curriculum and other developmental programs within the school of assignment and/or on a district level.
- Perform business services as required.
- Participate in community-school relations.
