Salary: $41.41 per hour non-negotiable
SUMMARY: Under the direction of the Family Perseverance Director (“Director”), this position will primarily be responsible to perform varied and responsible administrative duties to relieve the Director, which include planning and organizing department staff and activities as assigned.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Include the following.
- Directly supervise and coordinate case management activities to ensure program and department compliance to Tribal, Federal and applicable state laws.
- Designing and implementation of successful family-oriented workshops and activities associated to the department goals and objectives.
- Ensure that all program policy and procedures are adhered and applied by subordinates.
- Ensure that all administrative policies and procedures are complied with, including but not limited to procurement, recordkeeping, travel and vehicle use, and personnel policies.
- Accurately perform and maintain database for a variety of reports needed by Director.
- Assist in management of department budget and expenditures, including acquisitions as needed.
- Operate a variety of office equipment including calculator, copier, fax and computer. Attend a variety of meetings when requested.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Supervise, mentor, coach, and evaluate the performance of assigned staff; interview and select employees and recommend transfers, reassignment, termination, and disciplinary actions.
OTHER DUTIES:
- Attend Mandatory Trainings.
- Travel as required to perform duties. Perform related duties as assigned.

- Management of a social services department.

- Social programming regulations, codes, policies, and standards such as Tribal and County Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF).
- Reporting preparation techniques related to client case management.
- Case Management software programs.
- Budget preparation and control. Principles of management in organizational controls.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
An equivalent combination of education and related work experience may be considered. Two (2) years of related work experience will be equal to 30 college credits and vice versa.
- Bachelor’s Degree required in Sociology, Psychology, Business Administration, Communications or related field and at least one (1) year of experience in managing staff and facilitating social services programming. OR
- Associates in Arts Degree required in Sociology, Psychology, Business Administration, Communications or related field and four (4) years of related experience and at least one (1) years of experience in managing staff and facilitating social services programming. OR High School Diploma required and eight (8) years of related experience and at least one (1) year of experience in managing staff and facilitating social services programming.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, AND REGISTRATIONS: To perform and to continue to be qualified for this position, the requirements listed below must be met at time of hire or may be obtained within a specific amount of time depending on the position requirements. Costs for required certifications, licenses, and registrations are to be covered by employee, unless offered by the Tribe.
- This position requires driving. Therefore, applicants must posses prior to hiring and must maintain throughout employment a valid California Class C driver’s license and insurability under the Tribe’s vehicle insurance policy.
- Requires regular contact with or control over Indian children and is therefore subject to the background investigative process to comply with P.L.101-630.
- Requires throughout employment maintaining a Mandated Reporting Certificate of Training. Requires throughout employment maintaining a CPR/AED/First Aid Card/Certification.
