This is a shared school nurse position between Torrington Middle School and Torrington High School in Torrington, WY, for the 2025-2026 academic year. The start date is August 2025. Candidates must qualify for a Wyoming RN license. Associate degree RN's are placed on the nurse salary schedule (base $45,718), and RN's with a BSN are placed on the teacher salary schedule (base $55,200)
Purpose Statement
The job of School Nurse was established for the purpose of facilitating positive student responses to normal development; promoting health and safety including a healthy environment; intervening with actual and potential health problems; providing case management services and actively collaborating with other individuals and organizations outside of the school environment to build student and family capacity for adaption, self management, self advocacy, and learning.
This job reports to Torrington Middle School Principal and Torrington High School Principal.

Experience: Job related experience within nursing field is required.
Education: Associate Registered Nursing (RN) degree, or Bachelor of Science Nursing (BSN) degree
Certificates & Licenses: Valid Driver's License. First Aid/ CPR Certificate. Current Wyoming RN License.
Continuing Educ./ Training: Must maintain CPR certificate; continuing education as required for state license renewal.
Clearances: Criminal Justice/ Fingerprint Clearance.
Salary Grade: Nurse Salary Schedule for Associate RN or Certified Salary Schedule for BSN
