Quality Specialist

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be crucial in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. This position requires a strong understanding of quality management systems, and proficiency in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers. The Quality Specialist will be responsible for conducting quality inspections, analyzing data, and implementing quality control measures to enhance product reliability and performance. This position will be available on 2nd shift. 2pm-10 pm Monday-Saturday. The ideal candidate will be flexible with hours and being able to work extended hours if needed.

Duties
- Conduct thorough quality inspections of products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance with established standards.
- Utilize precision measuring instruments, including calipers and micrometers, to assess product dimensions and specifications.
- Analyze inspection data and prepare detailed reports on quality metrics, identifying trends and areas for improvement.
- Collaborate with production teams to implement effective quality management practices and ensure adherence to ISO 9001 and ISO 13485 standards.
- Assist in the development and maintenance of quality control procedures, ensuring they are up-to-date and effective.
- Participate in internal audits and support external audits as required to maintain certification compliance.
- Provide training to staff on quality inspection techniques and the importance of maintaining high-quality standards.

Experience
- Proven experience in a quality control or quality assurance role within a manufacturing environment.
- Familiarity with FDA food safety standards is highly desirable.
- Proficient in using precision measuring instruments such as calipers and micrometers for accurate measurements.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data effectively.
- Experience with Calypso software or similar quality management systems is a plus.
- Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 per hour

Expected hours: 55 per week

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime
• Weekends as needed

• Quality assurance: 1 year (Preferred)
