This position offers the opportunity to lead technically complex projects, build strong relationships with local clients, and collaborate with our New York City office. The Project Manager will work directly with new and repeat clients to promote the firm to increase growth. As a mentor to entry-level estimators, youll foster talent development while ensuring the successful delivery of estimates and project management tasks.

Essential Functions :
Operations :
Serve as the primary interface with prospective and current clients, collaborating with the Business Development team to identify technical needs, discuss project constraints, and develop strong client relationships.
Maintain close communication with clients to ensure project progress, technical excellence, and budgetary compliance.
Oversee the development of accurate and timely material and labor estimates for electrical and other systems, ensuring alignment with project plans and specifications.
Manage and assign work to project teams, contextualizing each team member's role within the broader project history and goals.
Conduct and approve quantity takeoffs and budget estimates for all project phases, ensuring adherence to contract specifications.
Attend site visits, pre-bid meetings, and reconciliations with contractors and construction managers as required.
Administrative
Participate in firm administration tasks, such as reviewing work of Estimators, conducting performance reviews, and recommending promotions.
Ensure staff are trained in relevant software, project processes, and estimation methodologies.
Mentorship and Leadership
Train and mentor entry-level estimators, cultivating technical proficiency and career growth.
Develop training plans that align with company standards and individual goals.
Foster collaboration between the D.C. and NYC offices, ensuring seamless communication and project coordination.
Position Requirements :
Education and Experience : Bachelors degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field, with 10 years of experience in preconstruction and / or construction project operations.
Technical Knowledge : Extensive experience in civil / site construction, structural systems, mechanical and electrical systems, and / or interior and exterior finishes, including experience with local market rates and conditions.
Leadership Skills : Proven ability to lead and mentor teams, bridging communication between multiple offices.
Communication Skills : Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts effectively to clients.
Technical Proficiency : Proficiency in estimating software, spreadsheets, and database applications, as well as strong familiarity with CSI division systems and quantity takeoffs.
Problem-Solving : Resourceful and diligent in seeking innovative solutions to project challenges while maintaining client satisfaction.
