Position Summary:

As a Scheduler at TCT, you will play a pivotal role in building schedules for complex and innovative projects. This is an excellent opportunity for a mid-level scheduler with an interest in federal and public sector architectural and engineering design projects. This position will be based full time in our client’s office working on a variety of projects.

Key Responsibilities:

The Project Schedulers shall:

Develop and issue detailed integrated Critical Path Method (“CPM”) schedules based upon Project documents such as, but not limited to scopes of work, estimates, drawings, and contract specifications.

Create Work Breakdown Schedules (“WBS”) to subdivide the work into small manageable packages.

Develop the logic or sequence of the work Identifying the predecessor and successor relationships between activities.

Load the project resources and cost into the integrated project schedules.

Develop and assign standardized codes for activities and projects based on relevant attributes like type of project, location, discipline, track outage, responsibilities, and other attributes applicable for grouping and sorting.

Prepare, update, and distribute monthly progress reports to share monthly bar charts, histograms, look ahead schedules, Completed and In-progress, Earned Value Reports, S-Curves, comparison reports, variance reports, and trend analysis reports with baseline schedules.

Identify and analyze critical paths and activities to ascertain whether project completion is on time and on budget, including forecasting delays and evaluation of alternative scenarios.

Perform internal time impact and delay claim analyses to recommend actions and responses.

Develop “What-If” schedule scenarios, mitigations, and recovery schedules and recommend corrective action plans to be taken to mitigate and avoid cost and schedule overruns.

Assist in the development of a comprehensive Capital Program plan that compiles all projects and associated force account resources.

Prepare and analyze LIRR Force Account Labor Resources requirements which will support LIRR hiring plans.

Analyze and develop revised project CPM schedules based on status of goals, production, scope changes, budget, material, and resource availability as required to initiate corrective actions and pro-actively manage the deployment of budgeted resources.

Review and analyze third party schedules and integrate such schedules with LIRR force account scopes of work.

Liaise with project team members during all phases of the project work.

Visit job sites to collect monthly updates.

Attend field meetings during schedule development and throughout the construction period.

Requirements:

• Minimum 5 years’ of recent experience in construction scheduling using Primavera P6 software in project controls.

• Demonstrated experience with Earned Value Management time-impact analysis, delay claims, and change orders analysis.

• Experience working with public agencies

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Power Point and Outlook).

• Ability to create simple and complex analytical reports of schedule.

• Power Business Intelligence (“BI”) experience preferred.

• Demonstrated experience comprehending drawings and specifications.

• Strong written and verbal communications skills.

• Understanding of construction and construction means and methods.

• Certification by Association for the Advancement of Cost Engineering (“AACE”) in planning and scheduling, or Project Management Professional (“PMP”) Certification preferred.
