Feed Mill Maintenance Generalist
The Feed Mill Maintenance Generalist is an hourly position/ pay level grade (6 plus) reporting to the Feed Mill Supervisor and is responsible for overseeing, diagnosing, and repairing all equipment and completing daily work orders in the feed mill.
What You Do
- Troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical equipment
- Inspect equipment, structures, or material to identify causes of error or defects
- Communicate in a professional and courteous manner with all customers, vendors and coworkers
- Complete work orders in a timely manner
- Perform preventative maintenance
- Lead and mentor Maintenance Helpers
- Champion a Safety Culture
- Follow all company policies and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
Who You Are
- Heavy equipment operations experience preferred
- Excellent written & verbal communication
- Self-motivated
- Ability to multi task
- Able to work extended hours/weekends as needed
- Zero injury mindset
- General knowledge of equipment and controls
Physical Requirements
- Ability to climb up and down ladders safely, walk up and down steps, and work at heights to measure bins
- Can lift/carry/push/pull at least fifty (50) pounds
- Ability to work outside, including in inclement weather
- Excellent hand/eye
- Able to stand and walk for the majority of each day
- Must be willing to work an alternate shift and on-call when scheduled
