Summary:
The Sales Implementation & Projects Intern position is a temporary entry level role focused on new/ongoing projects and will learn various phases of project management and planning process flow infrastructires under close guidance and support. This role will provide a hands-on learning opportunity in project management. Under immediate supervision, the Intern will complete a variety of routine tasks in support of the goals and needs of the Department.
Responsibilities:
- Work closely under the guidance of Department Management and staff to provide project management support including but not limited to entry level departmental tasks as indicated below:
- Project Documentation
- Effective & Timely Project Communication
- Project Requirement Gathering
- Project Tracking
- Learn about departmental processes and procedures along with corresponding controls.
- Under management guidance, support entry level activities.
- Work closely with management or more senior staff to learn how to generate and review departmental reporting (scheduled and ad-hoc).
- Assist with special projects as instructed.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Sophomore, junior, or senior level undergraduate student, or graduate student, attending an accredited college in good standing or recent graduate (within six months) of an accredited college.
- Pursuing a Business Degree, or a closely related major.
- Must have completed a minimum of three project management and/or decision analytics college courses and basic understanding of business principles.
- Must be technically competent with various software programs, such as MS Office, MS Project, MS Excel, MS Visio or similar, and SmartSheet
- Must have effective communication skills (verbal & written) with sound judgement and ability to work well in Team environment.
- Ability to meet deadlines, multi-task efficiently and prioritize assignments.
- A Team player and motivated to learn with a strong desire to take on new challenges.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills with demonstrated initiative.
