Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Teaching Assistant to join our dynamic team in providing a nurturing and engaging environment for young children. The ideal candidate will have a passion for teaching and working with children from infant to preschool age. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting our teachers in delivering high-quality education and care to our students.
Responsibilities
- Assist teachers in planning and implementing educational activities, including arts and crafts, music, and outdoor play
- Provide individualized attention and support to students, ensuring their developmental needs are met
- Implement classroom routines and transitions, including arrival and dismissal procedures
- Support the development of social and emotional skills in young children
- Assist in preparing and serving snacks and meals
- Monitor and maintain a safe and clean learning environment
- Administer first aid when necessary
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
- Participate in professional development and training sessions
- Collaborate with teachers to ensure lesson plans align with curriculum goals
- Assist in maintaining records and reporting to teachers
Skills
- Experience working with children, including infants, toddlers, and preschoolers
- Ability to educate children in a classroom setting
- First aid certification or willingness to obtain
- Experience in care giving and childcare
- Familiarity with classroom management and routine
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other staff members
- Commitment to providing a nurturing and engaging environment for young children
- Toddler and infant care experience
- Preschool teaching experience

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $13.75 - $14.25 per hour
Expected hours: 35 per week
