What You’ll Do:
- Responsible for clinical/medical practice oversight
- Provide clinical direction and training to providers
- Ensure comprehensive care for patients of all ages
- Serve as a role model and leader for the clinical team
- Procedures to include EKG and X-ray interpretation, abscess incision and drainage, infection management, reduction of dislocations, splinting of minor fractures, laceration repair, IV hydration, and medication administration
- Communicate test results, follow-up care, and other treatment plans as appropriate
- Provide a level of care that goes beyond the traditional urgent care setting
- Board Certified (or Board Eligible) in Emergency Medicine, Family Medicine, or Internal Medicine (with pediatric experience) preferred
- Licensed in state of practice
- Experience with procedures such as suturing and abscess I&D
- Experience with reading diagnostics studies, including X-rays and EKGs
- Clinical experience in emergency medicine, urgent care, or ambulatory care highly preferred
- ACLS and PALS Certification preferred
