Overview of the Role:
As an Account Executive, you will play a pivotal role in the business development of industry-specific applications and services involving cold spray technology. This pivotal position involves collaborating closely with all Military Branches and the Office of the Secretary of Defense to secure essential funding and foster technological integration into the Department of Defense's sustainment operations. Your efforts will directly influence the company's growth trajectory in both domestic and international markets.
Responsibilities:- Develop and implement a strategic plan for industry-specific cold spray applications.
- Create business cases and structures with defined goals, including revenue and cost targets, capital, and inventory requirements.
- Set, monitor, and achieve development targets while coordinating customer action plans.
- Collaborate with internal functions to ensure the successful execution of objectives.
- Lead and train an industry-specific sales team, providing regular feedback and overseeing performance.
- Develop strategies to achieve development and sales goals, generate leads, and manage customer relationships.
- Design and deliver compelling sales presentations and proposals.
- Track and report sales figures, forecast revenue, and support competitive pricing strategies.
- Manage industry-specific sales budgets, perform market research, and coordinate with marketing on promotional activities.
- Engage with customers, prepare quotations, attend trade shows, and execute business development strategies.
- Bachelor s degree in engineering or a related technical field (preferred).
- 5 years of experience in sales and/or strategic planning (preferred).
- MBA or equivalent degree (advantageous).
- 10 years of leadership experience (desirable).
- Familiarity with DOD operations, sustainment, and contracting (preferred).
- Strong written, verbal, and presentation skills in English.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
- Ability to interpret financial data and apply reasoning to decisions.
- Willingness to travel approximately 40% of the time.
- Competitive salary range: $120,000 $180,000, with a negotiable bonus structure (10% 30% of annual salary).
