Key Responsibilities
As a Flight Paramedic, you will:
- Deliver advanced critical care, emergency treatment, and life support during air and ground medical transports.
- Conduct comprehensive assessments, diagnoses, and interventions under dynamic and challenging conditions.
- Accurately document patient care details, transport information, and billing records.
- Maintain effective communication with internal teams, medical personnel, and external stakeholders.
- Engage in regular training, education, and skill development to uphold clinical excellence.
- Adhere to all protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Support public relations and community outreach as needed.
Qualifications
- Certification: Active paramedic certification in Indiana (required).
- Experience: Minimum of three years in a high-volume 911/pre-hospital setting (five years preferred).
- Certifications: BLS, ACLS, PALS/PEPP, and PHTLS/ITLS (NRP preferred; instructor certifications are a plus).
- Specialized Training: FP-C certification (required within 24 months of hire).
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in a healthcare-related field (preferred).
- Skills: Exceptional communication, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
- Physical Requirements: Ability to lift up to 100 lbs, maintain weight below 235 lbs, and pass pre-placement physical exams.
