Our client is an FAA-accredited company specializing in the maintenance and repair of CFM56-3, -5B, and -7B engines. We are a high-performance FAA 145/EASA Certified Repair Station, providing innovative solutions and exceptional customer service to airlines and aviation organizations worldwide. As we continue to grow, we are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Engine Program Manager to supervise and guide the team in performing top-quality engine repairs and maintenance.
Job Summary:
The Engine Program Manager is responsible for the administration of engines inducted to repair at GEM, starting from the preparation of initial quotes, based on customer’s requested work scope, administration of engine throughout the repair process including, but not limited to: communication with customers, preparation of reports related to the shop visit, pricing evolution and substantiation, invoicing and payment collection, administration of customer satisfaction surveys and after sale support. This role will also be responsible for customer review meetings, both at GEM or at customer’s site
Key Responsibilities:
- Administratively manage complete engine repair events through the shop, with a focus on CFM56 engines (experience with other engine types also considered)
- Structure complex proposals in response to RFQs for both single engine repairs and fleet maintenance, in accordance with Maintenance Contract terms
- Act as the primary liaison between customers and GEM throughout the repair process, maintaining clear communication and accountability
- Review and analyze customer-provided work scopes; prepare and/or oversee the development of detailed cost estimates that reflect actual repair requirements and potential additional charges
- Ensure compliance with quote deadlines and customer-specific requirements
- Generate regular internal reports to management on engine status, financials, and performance metrics
- Collaborate with internal departments and managers to provide timely and accurate engine status updates
- Deliver regular updates to customers, including status reports, Inspection Findings Reports, and revised cost estimates as necessary
- Coordinate with accounting to prepare and issue invoices based on agreed-upon terms, and actively follow up on payment status
- Maintain accurate and current data in Quantum to support accounting and operational transparency
- Reconcile invoices promptly and ensure accuracy against repair documentation and customer agreements
- Administer customer satisfaction surveys, track and analyze feedback, and develop continuous improvement plans based on insights
- Schedule and lead customer shop visits, ensuring positive engagement and transparency throughout the repair process
- Other duties assigned by Management.
Qualifications:
- Demonstrated ability to manage complete engine repair events through the shop, preferably on CFM56 engines (experience with other engine types will also be considered)
- Strong understanding of engine workscoping at both the modular and submodular levels
- Proven track record in preparing and/or analyzing engine repair cost estimates, including the evaluation of additional charges and shop findings
- Strong technical background on Turbofan engines such as CFM56, V2500, CF6 or similar
- Strong consulting/negotiation skills with the capacity to deliver superior customer service
- High proficiency with MS Office, i.e., Outlook, Excel, Word, Power Point
- Demonstrates exceptional written and oral communication skills
- Team player versed in managing and resolving conflict
- Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and detailed-oriented with flexible work style
Preferred:
- Managed multiple engine repair RFQs/RFPs, either on behalf of an airline/lessor or from the engine shop side
- Direct experience in appraising CFM56 engines for purchase or sale
- Hands-on involvement in engine repair processes, including on-site visits to engine shops to witness table inspections
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Aerospace or Industrial preferred), Project Management, Financial Engineering, Sales and Marketing or equivalent.
- Language – bilingual preferred
- Experience as engine shop or airline engineer, inspector or technician
- Knowledge of Quantum software
- Knowledge of Salesforce Software
Salary : $90,000 - $130,000
