Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Psychiatric Medical Director to join our team. This leadership role involves providing oversight, clinical expertise, and direct patient care at psychiatric facilities in the Indianapolis and Anderson areas. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in psychiatric medicine, excellent leadership abilities, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clinical Leadership: Serve as the medical director for psychiatric hospitals, overseeing clinical operations and ensuring the delivery of high-quality care.
- Patient Care: Provide direct psychiatric evaluations, diagnoses, and treatment plans for patients in both inpatient and outpatient settings.
- Rounding: Conduct regular rounding at psychiatric hospitals in the Indianapolis and Anderson areas, ensuring continuity of care and addressing patient needs.
- Collaboration: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams, including therapists, nurses, social workers, and administrative staff, to coordinate patient care and optimize outcomes.
- Credentialing and Compliance: Ensure compliance with hospital policies, state and federal regulations, and credentialing requirements.
- Program Development: Assist in the development and implementation of programs to improve the quality of care and enhance operational efficiency.
- Education and Training: Provide mentorship and training for medical staff and serve as a resource for clinical expertise.
- Administrative Duties: Participate in meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and strategic planning for the hospitals.
Qualifications:
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) with a focus on Psychiatry.
- Board Certification in Psychiatry (required).
- Active and unrestricted medical license in the state of Indiana (or ability to obtain).
- Previous experience in a leadership role, preferably as a Medical Director or similar position.
- Strong clinical and administrative skills with the ability to multitask and prioritize.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Willingness to travel between the Indianapolis and Anderson areas for hospital rounds.

Pay: $200,000.00 - $275,000.00 per year
