Job Summary :
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team. The LPN will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being. This role involves collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive care in a supportive and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities :
- Resident Care : Provide direct nursing care to residents, including administering medications, treatments, and assisting with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and feeding.
Monitoring : Observe and report changes in residents' conditions to the RN or Nursing Supervisor. Monitor vital signs and implement care plans as directed.
Documentation : Maintain accurate and timely documentation of residents' care, including medical records, progress notes, and care plans.
Communication : Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members. Provide emotional support and education to residents and their families.
Compliance : Adhere to all nursing home policies, procedures, and regulatory standards. Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations, including infection control protocols.
Team Collaboration : Work collaboratively with the nursing and healthcare team to ensure coordinated and efficient care. Participate in shift handovers and team meetings.
Continuous Improvement : Engage in ongoing professional development and training. Stay updated with best practices in geriatric nursing and long-term care.
Qualifications :
Education : Graduate of an accredited LPN program.
Licensure : Current and valid LPN license in the state of Washington.
Previous experience in a nursing home or long-term care setting preferred.
Skills : Strong clinical and critical thinking skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) and documentation.
Certifications : BLS / CPR certification required.
