POSITION SUMMARY:
To coordinate and supervise the credit union's branch operations within the established policies and guidelines of the Board of Directors and credit union bylaws. To serve as a member of the credit union's executive management team and participate significantly in the formulation, development, recommendation, implementation, and administration of credit union policies, programs, objectives and goals. Review credit union policies and procedures to ensure compliance with all related alws and regulations applicable to the credit union. Recommend policy changes to the CEO and/or Board of Directors that will facilitate the credit union’s compliance program, reduce risk, and reflect changes in regulations. To work closely with the CEO and Board of Directors.
BASIC DUTIES:
The incumbent must comply with rules and regulations relating to credit union operations. Must have knowledge of and be able to interpret for daily operations the Federal Credit Union Act, Equal Credit Opportunity Act and the Truth-in-Lending Act.
Establish office procedures to use staff and facilities most effeciently.
Interpret and administer Board and credit union policies and procedures.
Ensure that the CEO is kept fully informed on the conditions and operations of the branches and of all important factors influencing them.
The incumbent must be able to deal with credit union members and staff in an intelligent, tactful manner.
Incumbent must relate credit union policies and procedures to prospective members.
Responsible for recommending hiring, promotions, transfers, and discharges of subordinate staff.
Responsibile for maintaining competent subordinate staff.
Provide coaching and counseling for all branch personnel to optimize employee knowledge and service capabilities.
Delegate authority and responsibility to subordinate staff and insure that their involvement is continually developed so that qualified successors are available when necessary.
Maintain a positive image. Work closely with subordinates, evaluating their performance and developing their abilities to manage their respective areas ensuring quality of work and service to members.
Work closely with the Management Team and committees on all aspects of the credit union. Responsible for maintaining competent subordinate staff.
Supply the necessary guidance to assist the Management Team in recommending short and long term objectives for the credit union.
Promote and maintain a positive image of the credit union to assigned personnel, members and the community.
Cross train assigned personnel in all products and services offered at the credit union to ensure quality service to members.
Encourage staff to expand their education through courses, seminars or conferences as supported by the CEO and the Board of Directors.
Responsible for developing and updating office operations procedures manual.
Works to insure optimum team work at all times.
Encourage and develop cooperation among all staff members to ensure a “team effort” and prompt efficient member service.
Conducts staff meetings to disseminate pertinent information and discuss operational methods and problems.
Will attend conferences and seminars beneficial to the credit union's operations. May authorize other personnel to attend such conferences and seminars when deemed necessary.
Insure that all office equipment is maintained in good working condition.
As the Designated Security Officer, is responsible for ensuring that the credit union's security program is managed effectively to protect the assets, building and employees.
Evaluate the credit union's existing security program and approves agreements for the contract guard service.
As the Compliance Officer, incumbent will be required to:
On and on-going basis, review laws and regulations that impact the credit union’s compliance requirements with emphasis on Bank Secrecy Act, Patriot Act and OFAC, Lending Regulations, HMDA, SAFE Act.
Evaluate the credit union’s policies, procedures, products and programs to ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations. Make recommendations to change where appropriate.
Disseminate information, answer questions, and be a subject matter experts for the credit union on all compliance-related iddues.
Assess risk potential of current procedures and institute new procedures that minimize loss exposure.
Ensure that any change in policy or procedure is communicated to impacted departments, or the credit union as a whole, with clarity. Follow up to ensure new procedures are understood and implemented.
Develop and implement corrective action procedures as necessary to ensure compliance with policies and procedures to avoid future compliance problems.
Conduct daily review of non-financial transaction register as generated by the credit union’s core processing system. Review system generated Monetary reports used to monitor BSA.
Review all new open consumer accounts for CIP compliance and all business accounts for Customer Due Diligence Compliance.
Conduct random, surprise cash audits of the branches (teller drawers, ATMs and vaults). Report results of cash audit to Supervisory Committee.
Conduct random loan audit of loans approved, oand denied and loand booked. Reports results of loan audit to Supervisory Committee.
Assist VP of HR with developing training programs for new hires and continuing education for incumbent staff.
Develop and ensure implementation of record retention policies and procedures in accordance with regulations and laws.

Pay: $55,000.00 - $60,000.00 per year
