What are the responsibilities and job description for the Dispatcher | Construction Industry position at Total Civil Construction & Engineering, LLC?
The dispatcher position is the company representative responsible for tracking the day-to-day truck check-in process delivering different kinds of materials at a construction site. As a member of our operations team, the dispatcher will be responsible for managing and maintaining records of all trucks entering the facility on a day-to-day basis.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Proactively manage the truck check-in process on a day-to-day basis
- Able to identify the kind of material being delivered and provide directions to truck drivers where to unload the material coming on site.
- Able to keep track of all the daily reports and document delivery tickets of all dump trucks
- The Dispatcher will be responsible to open and close the facility during operating hours
- Ability to multi-task
- Excellent customer service skills
- Must be a self-starter with attention to details
- Perform other duties, as and when assigned.
Required & Preferred Skills
- Valid Driver License
- Reliable transportation
- 2 years of experience in Construction Trucking or Dispatch – preferred
- Experience within the trucking industry – preferred
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (word, excel)
- High level of written and oral professionalism
