Accounting Associate Job Description
The Accounting Associate position is a combination of accounts payable, receivable and special projects as assigned. This position will report directly to the accounting manager. The position is being created to support existing staff as well as position the company for future growth and risk management.
Some responsibilities of the Accounting Associate will be:
· Weekly and monthly customer billing.
· Understanding customer contracts and applying agreed upon pricing to warehouse reported volumes for the purpose of generating customer invoices.
· Communicating with customers via email and directly by phone to support billing and cash receipts collections.
· Working with Excel to perform monthly reconciliations to ensure contract compliance and general ledger posting.
· Weekly accounts payable auditing in preparation for disbursement.
· Answering telephones and handling routing correspondence
· Monthly customer KPI reporting
· Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
· Degree in accounting, finance or related field preferred
· At least one year of accounting experience preferred but not necessary
· Working knowledge of basic accounting principles and practices
· Basic proficiency in MS Office Suite
· SAGE or another general ledger software
· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
· Ability to work within agreed upon schedules
· Excellent organizational skills
Benefits:
· Hourly wage $18-$22 per hour. 40-hour work weeks with little to no overtime. Holidays and PTO after 60 days.
