Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Attorney with intellectual property litigation experience. This position offers the opportunity to focus on patent litigation for a national and international client base. Candidates with a background in electrical engineering, computer engineering or computer science are strongly encouraged to apply. Candidates with experience as a federal judicial law clerk are also strongly encouraged to apply. We are seeking an associate who is collaborative and motivated to succeed in a client-focused, team-oriented environment. Candidates must also have excellent academic credentials and have strong written and oral communications skills. This is a hybrid position which generally calls for two - three days in the office.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough legal research on various topics related to personal injury, securities, environmental, and patent law.
- Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements.
- Assist in preparing cases for trial by gathering evidence, interviewing witnesses, and preparing exhibits.
- Provide legal advice and support to clients under the supervision of senior attorneys.
- Attend court hearings and other legal proceedings as required.
- Collaborate with team members on case strategy and development.
- Maintain accurate records of all legal work performed and ensure compliance with all relevant laws and regulations.
Qualifications
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
- Admission to the state bar association is required.
- Strong knowledge of intellectual property litigation.
- Proficient in legal research methodologies and tools.
- Exceptional legal drafting skills with the ability to write clearly and persuasively.
- Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
