Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and organized Medical Receptionist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will serve as the first point of contact for patients, providing exceptional customer service while managing front desk operations. Duties
- Greet patients warmly and assist them with check-in and check-out processes.
- Schedule appointments and manage the calendar for healthcare providers.
- Collect patient information and verify insurance details, including Medicare coverage.
- Maintain accurate patient records in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
- Process billing information and handle inquiries regarding payments.
- Answer phone calls, respond to patient inquiries, and provide information about services offered.
- Coordinate communication between patients and medical staff to ensure efficient workflow.
- Utilize Meditech or similar health information management systems for data entry and retrieval.
- Assist in maintaining a clean and organized front desk area.
Experience
- Previous experience as a Medical Receptionist
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail in managing patient records.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to interact effectively with patients and staff.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining professionalism.
