We are seeking a Level 1 Fire Alarm and Suppression Technician who is dedicated to customer satisfaction and life safety. The ideal candidate will have experience in the fire protection sector and be skilled in preforming inspections, installations, testing, service, and repairs of fire alarm systems as well as engineered and pre-engineered suppression systems. Responsibilities include ensuring compliance with life-safety and fire-safety regulations, including standards, codes, manufacturer requirements, and federal, state, and local laws, as well as meeting the specific needs and expectations of both customers and the company.
Educaton, Licenses, and Certifications:
- Highschool Diploma or equivalent (Required)
- 2 Years of documented experience in the Fire Sprinkler industry preforming inspections of Fire Systems (Required).
- NICET Certifications (Preferred)
- NICET 1 or 2 in Fire Alarm (Not Required but a plus)
- Fire Alarm Systems
- Extinguishers (Preferred)
- Special Hazards Fire Suppression Systems
- Water-Based Systems and Backflow Certifications is a plus
Work Description and Duties:
- Ability to work flexible hours including weekends to meet customer requirements.
- Overnight travel may be required.
- Maintain company vehicle inventory (If provided) to ensure timely response to customer needs.
- Possess valid driver's license and driving record that meets company requirements.
- Follow verbal and written instructions
- Capable of preforming physical labor to include carrying and moving equipment and tools weighing up to 70 lbs.
- Ability to work in residential, commercial, and industrial environments. Unusual and sometimes difficult positions such as climbing ladders, scaffolding, and high lift equipment up to 60 ft. Working with ducts, crawl spaces, above ceilings, etc.
