What are the responsibilities and job description for the Medical Billing Specialist position at Total Fitness Connection?
Company is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Biller to join our team, ensuring accurate and timely processing of medical claims.
Responsibilities include the following:
- Monitor and oversee Medical Billing A/R system while maintaining the integrity and confidentiality of patients' account.
- Complete electronic/manual billing for all medical claims. Constantly monitor any insurance issues and updates to provide company with up-to-date information.
- Follow-up on A/R accounts in accordance with company policies and procedures. Ensure all collection efforts are accurately noted in billing system. Ensure all payments are accurately entered.
- Provide quality customer service for the best possible outcome regarding account resolution.
- Provide support for PT receptionist related to EMR software and customer concerns.
- Work in conjunction with PT A/R Billing Manager to ensure PT policies and procedures are updated and followed.
- Computer skills required with Excell knowledge beneficial.
- Perform additional duties as requested by Business Office Manager, PT Billing Manager and/or Owner. Additional duties may include support of some financial duties under management of Business Office Manager.
