Projects and Hydroseeding Crew Member

Job Overview:

This role is responsible for assisting the Sitework Division with smaller projects including pool pads, lawn installs, small landscape projects and hydroseeding. The right candidate will be able to work independently and with another person to complete smaller projects with supervision. The role needs someone who can problem solve, work efficiently and know how to read project plans. This position is also responsible for assisting in snow removal during the winter season.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate and transport equipment using trucks with trailers, including skid steers, Ditch Witch machinery, small excavator and hydroseed trailers.
• Independently perform hydroseeding from start to finish, including site preparation, spraying, and addressing customer questions.
• Provide high-level customer service and communication, ensuring client satisfaction on all projects.
• Ability to operate small machinery independently.
• Understand and execute plans and scopes of projects.
• Support Sitework Division Manager on tasks on larger projects when necessary.
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, hours worked, equipment usage, materials used, and any incidents or accidents.
• Assist with snow operations during the winter season.
• Flexibility to work overtime hours as required to complete job assignments.
• Ability to use necessary software applications to document work and tasks.
• Inspect clean and maintain department equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Participate in snow removal operations during the winter season, including plowing, shoveling, treatment truck and other necessary tasks.

Qualifications:

• Valid Driver’s License
• 3 Years relevant experience preferred but willing to train right candidate
• Ability to operate various types of heavy machinery safely and efficiently
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Attention to detail and ability to follow instructions closely
• Basic familiarity with industry software to document work and tasks

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects, up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to work in various weather conditions, including extreme heat, cold, rain, and snow.
• Ability to perform manual labor, including activities such as stand, walk, bend, and kneel for extended periods.
