We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Certified Pharmacy Technician to join our team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting patient care by assisting pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications. You will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of pharmaceutical services, while also providing exceptional patient service in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Assist pharmacists in the preparation and dispensing of medications, including oral and inhaled medications.
- Maintain accurate medication records and ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements.
- Provide patient care by answering questions regarding medications and health-related inquiries.
- Utilize medical terminology to communicate effectively with healthcare professionals and patients.
- Employ aseptic techniques when preparing sterile products to ensure safety and quality.
- Support critical care initiatives by collaborating with healthcare teams in hospital settings.
- Provide immunization services to patients
- Organize and prepare initial Medication Therapy Management reviews for pharmacist completion.
- Manage inventory levels of pharmaceuticals and supplies, ensuring availability for patient needs.
- Effectively communicate with healthcare team members and patients to deliver Chronic Care Management and Transitions of Care
- Participate in ongoing training and development to stay current with pharmacy practices.
Requirements
- Certification as a Pharmacy Technician is preferred.
- Strong related to pharmacy and patient care.
- Proficient in medication administration processes, including aseptic techniques.
- Excellent communication skills with a focus on patient service.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while managing multiple tasks efficiently.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills are essential for success in this role.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
Expected hours: 24 – 32 per week
