Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Warranty and Quality Control Specialist for a mid-size Residential Home Remodeling company. The qualified candidate will schedule and meet with homeowners to perform or oversee warrantee work including minor repairs and trouble shooting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for making training protocols and monitoring performance of in-house employees to minimize repeat issues with materials or craftsmanship for our employees or subcontractors. Role requires a strong understanding of all aspects of residential remodeling to identify and correct the underlying issues in the field.
Duties
- Pull the files when Warranty calls come through the system.
- Schedule times to meet with homeowners and perform work.
- Schedule times to meet appropriate subcontractors when necessary and oversee work performed through completion and sign off.
- Process and file completed work orders.
- Visit jobsites weekly and meet with Project Managers and In-house labor to discuss issues on jobsites.
- Maintain records of training needs and issues identified in the field.
- Perform monthly vehicle inspections with employees to monitor preventative maintenance schedules, and insure vehicle inspection and registration stickers remain current.
- Track recurring maintenance issues to identify best work practices in the field.
Qualifications
- Comprehensive knowledge of Residential Construction and common industry products, schluter, LVP/LVT, lighting and plumbing fixtures, etc.
- The ability to read and understand building plans and installation instructions.
- Proficiency in what might be considered Handy Man skills.
- Strong understanding of residential home troubleshooting and repair.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication skills to convey technical information clearly.
- Excellent communication skills when dealing with homeowners.
- Strong personal hygiene.
- The ability to work independently with out supervision.
- Some computer and smart phone skills.
- Clean Driving Record.
- Ability to pass a background check.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $24.00 - $27.00 per hour
