What are the responsibilities and job description for the Mobile Phlebotomist position at Total Lab Solutions?
Responsible for driving to and collecting on site toxicology, blood, and molecular specimens from patients. Filling out patient information on a paper or requisition forms. Packaging and dropping all specimens to Total Lab Solutions for processing. Phlebotomist is expected to perform specimen collection with confidence, following established training methods and procedures. Maintain required records and documentation. Phlebotomist should maintain a safe, clean, and professional environment. Phlebotomist is responsible for inventory, making sure there are enough supplies with them, to complete daily testing requirements.
Job Specific Duties and Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate customer service and compassion when interacting with patients.
- Identify the patient before any specimen is obtained
- Properly label and document the specimen and requisition form
- Maintain a current collection log
- Maintain all proper supply levels at all times
- Adhere to patient confidentiality expectations and HIPAA requirements
Education and Experience Required:
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- 1 years of Medical or Laboratory experience
- Phlebotomy certification
- Will need to provide their own car and be paid mileage
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Must be reliable and punctual for every shift
- Works well in a medical setting
- Strong organizational skills
- Must have the ability to multitask, work within tight deadlines and prioritize conflicting demands while working effectively.
- Must have the ability to listen actively when spoken to and effectively communicate their thoughts to clinic staff and Account Manager
License:
- Phlebotomy (Preferred)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
