BIM Plumbing-Piping Detailer
$52-$65/hour (DOE) bonus
Full-Time Remote, In-Person, or Hybrid

Job Description: We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented BIM Piping Detailer to join our team. The ideal candidate will support project teams by providing drafting support, working through technical aspects of assigned projects, and contributing to the mechanical construction trade under the direction of the BIM Manager.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide drafting support for plumbing and mechanical piping systems.
- Troubleshoot bugs and glitches in models.
- Research and build piping appurtenances.
- Import and create plumbing groups.
- Model various systems including waste, vent, storm, domestic water, Med Gas, hydronics, and duct.
- Layout diffusers, mechanical equipment, mechanical rooms, domestic water heater rooms, and hangers/trapeze/seismic.
- Setup Navis models and run initial visuals to determine approach to mains and branches.
- Run and present clash detections.
- Coordinate models with other trades.
- Create and upload Trimble points, shop drawings, and spool drawings.
Experience and Skills:
- 10 years of experience detailing constructable plumbing or mechanical piping systems.
- 2 years of professional experience with Revit in a fast-paced work environment.
- Field experience in plumbing or pipefitting trades is strongly preferred.
- Comprehensive understanding of building codes.
- Knowledge of piping and plumbing construction methods.
- Strong work ethic and desire to work in production.
- Proficiency in Excel, Microsoft Teams, and Bluebeam.
Reporting Structure:
- Reports to: BIM Manager, VDC Manager
- Supported by: BIM Manager, VDC Manager
- Interacts with: PMs, PEs, BIM Modelers, VDC PE, VDC Manager, Fabrication shop, and Field Foremen
