What are the responsibilities and job description for the Quality Control Manager position at Total Nutrition Partners?
Specific Duties:
Work with Compliance to approve labels
Work with Purchasing to obtain and maintain supplier approval
Work with Compliance and R&D to obtain and maintain Kosher/Halal/Organic certifications
Maintain and schedule/perform in-house audits
Maintain/schedule/ perform training for Quality department
Hire/Train/Schedule/Evaluate Quality Department Personnel
Work with Compliance to develop/evaluate HACCP as needed
Work with R&D and Microbiologist for new product and raw material testing
Investigate Customer Complaints
Assist with Customer Requests
Assist QAs in daily duties: Swabs/quarantine/label receiving/ shipping and receiving products
Investigates discrepancies and works to improve QA work output
Performs Mock Recalls
Works/prepares for/communicates with auditing bodies
SOP Creation/review
Manages CAPA log and follows up with corrective actions
Fill in for QA as needed on the floor
Performs other quality duties requested.
Ensures execution of TNT quality assurance goals & objectives, actions plans, audits, measurement systems, etc.; develops measurable department goals & action plans and analyses department work by periodically evaluating the QA’s in production to build a better understanding of key quality challenges; collaborates with management team to build commitment to implement department improvements & maintain high quality compliance; communicates department job expectations, conducts quality training, coaches, and counsels QA workers, as needed.
