Lead Technician/Supervisor

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Automotive lead tech to oversee our automotive service department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance, as well as exceptional leadership and customer service skills. As the Automotive Service Manager, you will be responsible for managing a team of technicians, ensuring efficient operations, and providing excellent customer service.

Duties:
- Manage and supervise a team of automotive technicians, providing guidance and support as needed
- Oversee the scheduling and assignment of work orders to ensure timely completion
- Monitor technician performance and provide feedback for improvement
- Maintain accurate records of all service and repair work performed
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies
- Develop and implement strategies to increase customer satisfaction and retention
- Collaborate with the sales team to identify opportunities for upselling services
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in automotive technology

Experience:
- Previous experience in automotive repair and maintenance is required
- Proven track record of successfully managing a team in an automotive service environment
- Strong knowledge of automotive systems, including suspension, brakes, transmission, etc.
- Familiarity with auto estimating software is preferred
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Ability to multitask and prioritize work effectively
